Vibra-TITE MP-55330
Harmonization Code : 3403.19 | Lubricating Preparations (With 70% or More Petroleum Oils) For Automotive and Other Uses
Main features
- Extended 25- to 30-Minute Work Time
- Equal-Ratio Resin Mixing
- Structural Plastic and Metal Bonding
Product Description
MP55330 Methacrylate Adhesive is a two-component adhesive with resin and activator mixed 1:1 by volume or weight for bonding plastics, metals, and composite assemblies. It provides a 25 to 30 minute work time for part alignment, followed by handling strength in 40 to 60 minutes. Resin and activator viscosities are 70,000 and 50,000 cps at 25 deg C. Cured shear and tensile strength are each 3,000 to 3,500 psi; test methods are unspecified. For consistent dispensing, the recommended material-temperature window is 65 to 80 deg F, and the adhesive cures at room temperature.
Key features
- Extended Alignment Window: Work time is 25 to 30 minutes before handling strength develops in 40 to 60 minutes.
- Equal-Ratio Mixing: Resin and activator mix 1:1 by volume or weight.
- Structural Strength Range: Cured shear and tensile strength are 3,000 to 3,500 psi; test methods are unspecified.
Applications
Bonding plastics, metals, and composite assemblies.
