Product Description
DOWSIL HM-2600 Silicone Assembly Sealant is a one-part, moisture-reactive silicone hot-melt sealant for assembly sealing and bonding. It is applied at 115 to 135 deg C and provides immediate handling strength from the hot-melt phase before subsequent neutral moisture cure. Typical processing data include a 15-minute open time and pot life up to 24 hours. The cured material has Shore A 55 to 65 hardness, 4.1 MPa tensile strength, and greater than 1200% elongation, with an approximate service-temperature range of -50 to 150 deg C.
Key features
- Immediate Handling Strength: The hot-melt phase provides handling strength before neutral moisture cure.
- 115 to 135 deg C Application Temperature: The hot-melt process also has a 15-minute open time and pot life up to 24 hours.
- Greater Than 1200% Cured Elongation: Typical cured tensile strength is 4.1 MPa.
Applications
Assembly sealing and bonding requiring immediate handling strength from hot-melt application followed by silicone moisture cure.
